Your Virtual Care Package

Updated: Mar 31, 2020

Hello Friend!

These past few weeks have been filled with uncertainty and fear, so let's collectively take a great big breath I N ........and O U T. There. That feels a little better, doesn't it? Now, I generally like to stay pretty close to home so although my world has been rocked, with suspending all appointments at The Studio, I do find this kind of hibernating feels deeply nourishing and fulfilling for me. I know it's new for a lot of us so I'm sharing this Virtual Care Package of my favorite resources and rituals below to keep you supported during this time.

Your Virtual Care Package

 1: Set the Mood

I'm usually one for just a little relaxing music in the background, but I can tell you that after my first week home I seriously needed some new, light, fluffy, and loud music. This playlist worked like a charm, The Littles and I had a pretty rocking dance party in the living room to really shake up the energy in our house. Mood lifted. (This is an Amazon Music playlist so any Amazon Prime member should be able to play it)

2: Mindful Movement

I have a pretty short attention span (and I don't like working out) so I was really happy I found this 15 min. Gentle Flow Yoga video on YouTube. This company also has a great yoga kids series that I do with Charlie.  She also really likes Cosmic kids Yoga so if you are home with the kids I recommend trying these out!

3: Spend Time on YouI'm a fan of Lacey Phillips and her style of meditation and self-improvement work. She has recently released a free Self Quarantine Tools and Support Course.  If you can carve out some quiet time for yourself you might find out some interesting things about yourself and how you hold and process stress. TIP - her meditations are best listened to with earbuds/headphones. If you don't already have a pair to use check these out.  I like them because they are affordable, comfortable, and easy to use.

4: Treat Yourself Did you buy skin care product from me that you haven't been using faithfully? Get it out! Now is the time to treat yourself. If you're not sure what to do reach out and I'll help you. If you are running low on product  I'm waiving shipping charges and I've been working on my online store to make it even easier for you. Next week I'll also be shipping out At Home Facials so keep an eye out for that.

5. Get Ready I'll be posting some self-care videos in the coming week or so. To follow along with the self massage videos you'll need a tennis ball or the Pinky Ball, the Pinky Ball is my favorite because it has a nice soft give that is more comfortable with some of these self-massage techniques and it can be purchased at Wayne's in Cavalier in the children's toys section.   I'll also be using this Grapeseed Oil in a facial massage video.

6. Be Inspired

Guys, Jennifer Allwood is MY GIRL. I love starting my day with her podcast and her most recent episode of her Monday Fire series (just 10 minutes long) about Finding the Silver Lining is as beautiful and inspiring as the rest of her content.

I hope that's a good start. Please reach out if you have any questions or just need an encouraging word. While I may not be able to see you for a few weeks your well-being is important to me and I would love to help you in any way that I can. Stay well and healthy! Dori Kate dorikatelmt@hotmail.com P.S. Do me a favor - drink plenty of water, leave your brows alone, and don't pick your skin! P.S.S. Those fun chats we had in the treatment room don't have to end because of Social Distancing - I know how stress can make us look and feel, please let know if I can support you in any way. I'm serious, reach out any day, any time.  ((BIG HUG))
